Grove Primary School

At Grove Primary School the safety and well-being of our pupils and staff is paramount. We have an urgent and relentless approach when dealing with safeguarding.  

We understand that – safeguarding, and promoting the welfare of children, is everyone’s responsibility. Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play. In order to fulfil this responsibility effectively, all professionals should make sure their approach is child-centred. This means that they should consider, at all times, what is in the best interests of the child. 

We follow the child protection procedures as defined by Wolverhampton Safeguarding Home – Wolverhampton Safeguarding Together  and multi-agency threshold guidance. We work with partners to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people. 

All staff in our school have safeguarding training annually and regular updates and quizzes throughout the year to ensure their understanding is up to date. Our Pastoral Manager and SLT are trained in Level 3. This team monitor and review the safety and well-being of all pupils, meet regularly to evaluate provision and lead internal training. They work closely with all staff and often with individual and/or small groups of children.
