Welcome to Nursery.  Your child’s education starts here, and we totally understand that this is a big first step. Our staff are supportive to both children and families to help ensure routines are well established and relevant support is in place.  Our main aim is for children to enjoy their time spent at school, therefore exciting activities are planned to engage and stimulate.  These activities will help develop social skills along with developing your child’s communication and language skills.    Throughout Nursery, your child will follow the Development Matters curriculum and will focus on the prime areas of Communication and Language (CL), Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED) and Physical Development (PD).  Learning within Nursery takes places both indoors and outdoors.  It is important that children practise gross motor skills which includes running, climbing, riding bikes and scooters as well as developing fine motor skills such as threading, drawing and fastening zips and buttons.  Nursery run regular parent workshops so you can join in with the fun too!
